Bridekirk Dovenby CofE Primary School
Bridekirk Dovenby School is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England Primary School, which provides education for 150 children between the ages of 4+ and 11+ years. Children in the catchment area are automatically accepted for admission to the school on attaining the statutory school admission age, if sufficient places are available. The villages of Bridekirk, Dovenby, Blindcrake, Tallentire, Isel, Setmurthy, Redmain and Sunderland are all in the school catchment area.
At Bridekirk Dovenby School we wish to create a caring, secure, environment in which children are provided with a wide range of interesting and stimulating experiences. We hope to extend the children’s knowledge of themselves and the world in which they live. We want them to develop the necessary skills and concepts to enable them to relate to others and to lead full and purposeful lives. We aim to encourage self-confidence and self-discipline within a Christian ethos.
Our experienced and well-motivated staff members strive to nurture and develop the young children in our care, offering lessons and experiences which provide both fun and challenge, stimulation and encouragement.
