Chrysalis Activities Intensive Support - Buildings Based

Although in Carlisle, Individuals are welcome to attend from areas across Cumbria at this base.

Chrysalis is a local organisation that works with passion and integrity, for over 30 years supporting adults with disabilities (specialising in learning disability) to live active, exciting and independent lives. Based in North Cumbria, we can deliver group, individual and intensive support.

In partnership, we develop individual support plans promoting independence and enabling access to a range of activities, community resources.

Our Westmoor provision offers a tailored environment where individuals require additional support. Each person has their own tailored room and environment enabling individuals to choose when they want to engage with others.

Staff are specifically trained in additional intensive interaction, positive behavioural support working closely with specialist teams: Social workers, Community Learning disability Nurses and therapists to psychologists/ psychiatric support as required.

Offering wide ranging community activities and independent living skills: cookery, personal care, sensory stimulation, swimming, intensive communication support , music and drama, etc from this bespoke resource base.

Staffing is generally provided on a 2:1 basis.

Flexible activities: provision at resource based structured sessions: morning/ lunch/afternoon sessions.

Support outside of these hours and at evenings and weekends is available
