Helping the over 55's to: Support themselves & manage financially - Advice and help on money matters / Form filling service / Support in setting up of Lasting Power of Attorney / Apply for benefits. Understand & access relevant housing options - Helping to make home suitable for later life / Providing details of alternative housing, sheltered or residential accommodation / Completing forms for Housing Applications and support with banding / Supporting with bids and liaising with landlords on a clients behalf / Living independently through assessment for aids & adaptations / Liaising with outside agencies / working in partnership. Supporting independent living: Carrying out holistic assessments of the home environment as qualified Trusted Assessors / Advising on aids, adaptations and equipment to support independent living / Referrals to outside agencies including Adult Social Care and relevant Health services / Support to restore and build confidence.

- CAAS Service Fees: In order for is to provide this service, we charge a one-off nominal fee for each service as follows: £10 fee for assistance with a Blue Badge application (the cost of a Blue Badge is also £10 as well as the fee) £20 fee for a holistic assessment including assistance with Benefit checks / claims, Housing Options advice / applications and assessment for aids and adaptations. £50 Fee for assistance with Lasting Power of Attorney applications (£50 per Power of Attorney) These one-off fees will ensure that our service is sustainable and continues to support over 55's in Copeland to access the service provision as detailed.
