Age UK West Cumbria Supported Day Activity Service: Keswick
An opportunity to meet and socialise whilst partaking in a range of activities based on assessed needs. Members can pursue individual activities or take part as a mixed group. Activities include digital awareness, crafts, quizzes, discussions and much more. The aim is to boost confidence, support rehabilitation programmes and address social isolation issues, thereby enhancing independence and once confidence is achieved, enabling people to move on to participate in a wider range of activity clubs and groups. It can also provide support to people with early dementia and a planned progression to centre based day care or individual support. These groups are suitable for anyone over 50 who is needing that little extra support provided by a trained staff member, whether they have sensory, physical or mental impairment or early dementia . Lunch is available and transport can be arranged on request.
