St Herbert's CE Primary & Nursery School Logo St Herbert's C of E Primary & Nursery School

St Herbert's School is a Church of England school committed to the Christian principles which permeate everything we do. We aim to offer the highest standards of teaching and learning for your children, enriched by a variety of extra-curricular activities, residential visits and creative arts experiences. We offer, in conjunction with the Children's Centre adjacent to the school, wrap-around-care from 7.45am at the Breakfast Club until 6pm at the Keswick Out-of-School Club.

Our employees strive for the very best for every child, and that means for their well-being, as well as for their learning. We value academic achievement and the fulfilling of every child's potential and also promise to provide an education which places equal emphasis on the personal, social, spiritual and physical development of every pupil in our care.

Finally, as the only primary and nursery school in Keswick, we take our role seriously, building and maintaining links with the local community in the town and beyond. We encourage you to come and experience what a welcoming, happy and exciting place St Herbert's is and invite you and your child to come and meet the staff and children.

Local Offer

The SENCO will work closely with all staff to ensure children who may need additional or different support to that normally found within the classroom are identified as early as possible. The progress made by all children at this school is regularly monitored and reviewed. The school does not identify children as having special educational needs unless we are taking action that is additional to or different from that which goes on in the classroom as part of our regular differentiated approach.
