Childcare Sufficiency Report

The Childcare Act 2006 places a duty on local authorities to ensure, that provision of childcare is sufficient to meet the needs of parents in their area, in order for them to work or undertake education or training. Cumbria's Childcare Sufficiency report considers all the factors that influence the demand and supply of childcare throughout the county. It analyses any current and future gaps in provision, making recommendations to meet demand.
